Samsung TQ55S95C review: the brightest ultra-thin QD-Oled TV on the market impresses

Presentation

The Samsung TQ55S95C uses a second-generation QD-Oled panel, which is supposed to be brighter than its counterpart used on the 2022 Samsung S95B. This 55-inch panel has Ultra HD definition and operates between 48 and 144 Hz (120 Hz for the earlier model). As a reminder, this technology promises the best of both worlds, namely a high peak of brightness thanks to quantum dots (Quantum Dot) and an infinite contrast authorized by the individual management of each Oled pixel.

Compared to the S95B , the Samsung S95C stands out with its ultra-slim design and the presence of a Slim One Connect box which allows all the connections to be offset in order to simplify wall installation. Samsung TV requires, we find the Tizen home system in version 6 with its new bulky homepage. This model can also count on a 4.2.2 70 W audio system, four HDMI 2.1 inputs and a remote control with solar charging.

The Samsung TQ55S95C is sold for around €2,700. It is also available in a 65-inch version, or some 165 cm, under the reference TQ65S95C at a price of 3600 €, but also in 77 inches (196 cm) under the reference TQ77S95C for around 5100 €. Its direct competitor is the LG G3 Oled TV with micro-lens panel and very high peak brightness, available in 55, 65 and 77 inches at respective prices of 2600, 3600 and 5000 € (the 83-inch model does not include the OLED panel with micro-lenses).
